About Me

I've spent over fifteen years doing one thing really well: making writing clearer.

I started in manuscripts; my graduate study focused heavily on the history of the book. From there I founded a professional writing and copyediting consultancy called The Writing Source. Later, I moved into enterprise content operations, where I learned Project Management and Process Improvement techniques by hand. Somewhere along the way, I picked up a habit of translating technical material into something a reader could actually use.

In 2025, I rebranded as Critical Clarity, a name intended to wrap my skills and experience into a single package. I edit manuscripts. I develop content for authors who need a real collaborator, not just a proofreader. I help clients in technical and high-stakes industries say exactly what they mean without losing precision along the way.

I'm based in Kentucky, hold a Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of Kentucky and a Master's in English Literature from Morehead State, and I still believe the best edits are the ones nobody notices.
